The New York Chapter provides our members with many ways to further develop their professional skills and network with other green industry professionals.

APLD NY and the New York Botanical Garden

are pleased to announce an educational seminar on 

Design Ideas from Gardens of the World for Landscape Professionals
with Florence Boogaerts

New York Botanic Garden, Watson Building Room 302

Thursday, January 26th, 2012

7PM to 9PM

 

Florence Boogaerts will take us on a tour of some of the best gardens in Belgium, the Netherlands, Japan, New Zealand, England and Wales.

Ms. Boogaerts lecture will emphasize worldwide garden techniques, including ideas applied by some of the most prestigious and visionary landscape designers.

Florence MacDonald Boogaerts received a certificate in Landscape Design from the New York Botanical Garden where she has lectured on garden history and design since 1994. She also lectures to garden clubs and for the Greenwich, CT Continuing Education Program, and is currently writing a book about the gardens of Belgium.

In New York City, she spearheaded the restoration of Central Park's Shakespeare Garden and is responsible for numerous street tree plantings for the Esteé Lauder Foundation and various community groups.
